Isabel Porch is a surface pattern designer from South Wales whose practise is led by wonder, curiosity and a storyteller’s eye. Inspired by her heritage, its stories and the natural surroundings of South Wales, she creates designs that transform everyday details into magical treasures.
Isabel describes herself as a storyteller through design, constantly observing, collecting and reflecting on the memories of the past and future. Honouring the life, journey and story of each idea is central to her creative process. She works across woodblock printing, lino printing, screen printing, UV processes, Photoshop, Illustrator and digital fabric printing, combining traditional and contemporary methods. The result is a body of work that is tactile, expressive and visually engaging, celebrating both craft tradition and modern innovation.
