About Undod / Solidarity

In February 2027 LocalMotion's Social Justice group will be working with Oriel Myrddin to create an exhibition of work to showcase LGBTQIA + artists of the county of Carmarthenshire. The criteria for the artists is that they should be based (working and living) in the county of Carmarthenshire.

This will be an open call exhibition, and the curator will lead and guide the selection process but in conversation with the working group. The theme of Undod / Solidarity has been chosen by the working group to speak to the divided and urgent times in which we live and the intersectionality of the social justice work. This exhibition will showcase and celebrate the practices of artists and makers, bringing visibility and professional exhibition experience into a group show.

The role of Freelance Curator will be facilitated by LocalMotion Carmarthen working in partnership with Oriel Myrddin.
