Discover the joy of making with clay in this inspiring hands-on course, perfect for beginners or for those returning to ceramics and want to have a play.
Support will be provided every step of the way, helping you build confidence and develop your skills in a relaxed, creative environment.
The course is led by Justine Allison (@justineallisonceramics), a West Wales–based ceramicist with over 30 years of professional practice, who’s recently won the Gold Medal for Craft & Design at Y Lle Celf as part of Garreg Las Eisteddfod 2026.
Justine exhibits her work nationally and internationally and brings many years of teaching experience to the studio, offering generous guidance and expert insight throughout the course.
What to expect:
You’ll be introduced to essential hand building techniques using stoneware, including slab building, coiling and pinch pots, alongside a range of core making and decorative processes.
By the end of the course, you’ll have produced and decorated your own unique ceramic pieces. All work will be fired and ready to collect after the course, giving you lasting, tangible results from your creative journey.
Clay and glazes are included within the course cost and there are tools available to use within studio time.
