Undod / Solidarity: an LGBTQIA+ exhibition at Oriel Myrddin
February 2027
Call out for Stories for LGBTQIA+. Do you have a solidarity story to share?
In February 2027 LocalMotion's Social Justice group will be working with Oriel Myrddin to create an exhibition of work to showcase LGBTQIA+ artists in the county of Carmarthenshire.
As part of this exhibition, we are creating a participatory piece of work that will invite people to share and engage with personal stories of undod / solidarity. These stories will be woven into an interactive and participatory artwork within the exhibition.
To submit a story, you need to be:
based in Carmarthen
identify as LGBTQIA+
or be an ally
We will be running some story gathering workshops if you would like the space, time and support to work on your story creatively, or alternatively you can submit through the form on our website at https://www.localmotioncarmarthen.org/opportunities
Submissions can be named or anonymous. We would ask that there is a word limit 400 words so you may need to be concise whilst still telling the heart of the story.
Dates for the diary:
Story gathering workshops at LocalMotion Stwdio - 8-10 Woods Row, Carmarthen:
Thursday 19 November 3-5pm Or Saturday 28 November 1-3pm
Deadline for Story submissions via the website: 30 November 5pm
About Undod / Solidarity
The theme of Undod / Solidarity has been chosen by the working group to speak to the divided and urgent times in which we live and the intersectionality of the social justice work.
This exhibition will showcase and celebrate the practices of artists and makers, bringing visibility and professional exhibition experience into a group show.
