Engage Cymru Meet Up: Oriel Myrddin

Engage Cymru is hosting the final event in this series of meetups at Oriel Myrddin in Carmarthen. Following the gallery’s reopening in November 2025, this is an opportunity to visit the new spaces and learn more about the work from the Oriel Myrddin team. 

Our meetups are relaxed, friendly, and inclusive, and you’re welcome to attend all or part of the session. The introduction will be bilingual, and discussion and conversation are encouraged in either Welsh or English. Presentations and workshops will be delivered in English.  

Each session lasts approximately two and a half hours. While no formal breaks are scheduled, participants are free to take a break at any time.  

The aims of the session are to:  

  • Connect with colleagues from across Wales  

  • Learn and share more about inclusive participatory practice in the visual arts 

What to expect 

  • Creative Producer Catherine Spring will introduce Oriel Myrddin’s upcoming programme and opportunities.  

  • Engagement Manager Abby Poulson will share details of the forthcoming engagement programme.  

  • A creative activity led by artist Daisy Buckle of Natural Curiosity Studio. 

  • Opportunities throughout the session to chat, network and connect with other attendees. 

Location and Access 

This event will take place at Oriel Myrddin, Carmarthen. 

The building is fully accessible, and access to the space we are using is via lift or stairs. 

There are accessible and gender neutral toilets.  

Public car parks are located nearby; St Peter’s Car Park is the closest. Please park in the white bays so you can activate all day parking.  

The gallery doesn’t open to the public until 11 am. To access the building please ring the office bell on the door to the right.

Tea, coffee and biscuits will be provided, including:

  • Gluten-free options

This is a free event, but spaces are limited, so booking is required.  

Please book your place via Eventbrite. 
If you are no longer able to attend, please cancel your booking or let Sian know so someone else can take your place.
