To coincide with Oriel Myrddin’s summer exhibition, OM Open we welcome Sophie Snow as our featured maker. Based in St Dogmaels, West Wales, Sophie Snow is a textile designer and quilter inspired by the landscape around her home. After more than ten years working in the fashion industry as a print designer, Sophie returned to her own creative practice and a love of craft.
Working with colour, shape, pattern and texture, she creates distinctive one-off textile pieces that bring together contemporary design and traditional quilting techniques. Each work reflects her playful approach to making and her connection to the Welsh landscape.
Seibiant by Sophie Snow is now on display at Oriel Myrddin.
