OM Open 2026

  • Oriel Myrddin Gallery 26 27 King Street Carmarthen SA31 1BS (map)

Welcome to OM Open 2026, an exhibition celebrating contemporary creative practice across Wales.

OM Open brings together Welsh and Wales based artists working across a wide range of media, disciplines and approaches, offering a platform for both emerging and established practitioners.

The exhibition reflects the richness of current artistic practice, presenting works that challenge, delight and question.

This year’s exhibition has been selected by a panel consisting of Peter Finnemore, Dela Anderson and Lauren Heckler. Drawing on their varied experiences across contemporary art, curation and cultural practice, the panel has selected a compelling and thoughtful exhibition from a strong field of submissions.

We warmly thank all artists who submitted work to this year’s Open and invite you to spend time exploring the many voices, ideas and perspectives represented throughout the exhibition.

Join us at the launch event on Saturday 13 June, where the Selectors’ Award winner will be announced.
